With gym fails, bad falls and impressive tricks, fitness videos go viral all the time and they’re hilarious.

People are stuck inside now though, so they have a lot more time to do silly things and a lot more time to film them. We have a lot more time to watch them too, so we’ve been keeping track.

Really though, we enjoyed these viral fitness videos so much we had to share them with you, so get watching.

1.

Just British gymnast Nile Wilson handstand-dancing on a garage roof — so of course this is our favourite viral video. Very impressive control, but he’s just showing off by doing it on the roof. I bet he backflipped his way up there too.

2.

We all know the feeling. We’re getting ready for a PR on the bench, no spotter, not knowing if we’re going to make it. So we set up, grouch, and just let it rip. It needs to be done: it’s proven to increase chest strength on the bench by 54%.

3.

Game, set, and match. This is an amazing idea to pass the time, pretending to be Andy Murray. It’s how we all imagined ourselves when playing Wii tennis in the living room all those years ago. Just don’t do it in real life and smack your TV with a ball, please.

4.

Jason Derulo’s friend needs to work on her core strength for sure. His reaction is the best part though, because he knew exactly what was going to happen.

5.

She says she’s taking her leg prisons off (she actually means her trousers). This is quite impressive though, and definitely a new skill to learn during quarantine. Imagine before getting into bed, you just do a handstand and get changed with nothing but your feet.

6.

Tried to be creative with my home workout today but realized I should do some cardio instead pic.twitter.com/4wTD5nyOHn

We’ve all tried one of these at-home pull-up bars and our first thought is “will it hold?”

Unfortunately here the answer is no.

7.

The inevitable end of most self-isolation sports played alone. This one is super clever and well done though: watch until the end.

Take home message

This is the best thing about the internet — going through social media and seeing the crazy things other people do while you sit in the comfort of your home and laugh. The gym fail compilations will always be classics and should always be enjoyed. Whether famous, an athlete, or just someone messing about, there are a lot of creative people recording viral fitness videos.

Which one is your favourite?
